The first song to feature a full band writing session inclusive of multiple lyricists.

When we reconvened after a short hiatus imposed by school and work schedules, a fire was lit in each of our bellies and we wrote three songs hot on each otehrs trail - BURIAL GROUNDS was a song that sprung from the ether almost fully formed and allowed the band to open up musically and lyrically to embrace a round robin style of songwriting - everyone shaped sections and we became more clinical about what made the sonic cut.

In essence it is a song about succeeding despite repeated failure, and achieving where once you fell. It is also a personal strike against following trends and fads - be it religion, musical, fashion or lifestyle.

The line "Kill Your Gods and Start Again" should less be taken as a diatribe against religion per se, rather, a meditation on the need to believe in yourself before another "imaginary" figurehead.

But all religious imagery and connotations are very much deliberate and necessary.
